FISA Child Rights Center: A Child Protection Policy Should Urgently Be Formed In The Pandemic

By a statement regarding the COVID-19 epidemic, FISA Child Rights Center emphasized that the process is much more difficult for children and recommended an urgent child protection policy. 

In the statement, epidemics were defined as a crisis and requested exclusive support mechanism for children by claiming that children who are invisible in the system that created by adults are the least informed ones in those crises.

“Different from adults, children may need more support mechanisms which are built especially for children in the complexity of information and anxiety.” said in the statement and recommended that institutions urgently should put a child protection policy to both recover the occurred violations and also to prevent the potential ones on their agenda.

Some Children Are Affecting More While the FISA Child Rights Center had underlined that some children are affecting more from the crisis, emphasized that children who have a chronic disease, who live in prisons, who are refugees or who could not benefit from social security are the most affected ones, especially together with the girls.
