Human Rights Modules Introductory Meeting Applications Now Open

Youth Services Center Association (GSM), Mardin Joint Women's Cooperation Association (MOKİD) and Uğur Mumcu Investigative Journalism Foundation (um:ag) invite you to the meetings to be organized within the scope of the project "Empowering University Youth to Promote Human Rights of Young People from Vulnerable Groups".

The Human Rights Modules Introduction Meetings will be organized online to facilitate dialogue and learning partnerships on human rights. 

Representatives of civil society organizations, representatives of university student communities and individual activists are welcome to attend the meeting. These meetings will be followed by a Human Rights Training of Trainers Program for CSOs.

1) Cognitive Modules

• 'Women's Rights' in the context of gender-based violence and child marriage
• 'LGBT+ Rights' in the context of human rights and hate crimes
• 'Human Rights of Religious/Belief Groups' in the context of hate speech
• 'Right to Network, Monitor and Advocate' for policy change

2) Psychosocial Modules

• Women's Rights and Art,
• LGBTI+ Rights and Art
• The Right to Networking, Monitoring and Advocacy and Art
• Human Rights of Religious/Belief Groups and Art

3) Human Rights Trainer Training Module

Application Deadline: Tuesday, May 30, 2023 17.30

You can choose the most suitable date from the meeting dates. It is recommended that 2 representatives from each CSO attend the meeting. It is enough to fill out the application form for participation in the meeting. Click here for the application. 

What is the Rights Project?

The Rights Project, which aims to empower university students in the context of zero discrimination and human rights, works with young people to develop and spread the culture of human rights in society and creates democratic spaces for their voices to be heard. The project aims to establish dialogue and learning partnerships with civil society organizations in order to ensure that human rights culture is adopted by the widest segments of society.
