The Zero Discrimination Association has published an information note on the coronavirus outbreak titled "Information Note on COVID-19 Pandemic and Poor Vulnerable Groups".

Pointing out that the poor and vulnerable groups are more affected by the epidemic, it was indicated that the victimhood of the poor and vulnerable groups that are more open to epidemic disease is increasing in crises.

It was stated in the information note that the vulnerable poor section has a low capacity to protect themselves from the COVID-19 outbreak, while the measures taken within the scope of the outbreak have further reduced this capacity.

It was indicated that the measures taken for reducing the attack rate of the epidemic such as social isolation and closing-down the workplaces have mostly affected these people who are working without social security.

Also, it was shared that these measures annihilated the essential opportunities such as health care, nourishment, and hygiene of people who are unable to earn money right now.

You can find the full information note here.
