Aysun Koca
She graduated in order from the Urban and Regional Planning undergraduate program at Yıldız Technical University, the Economic Sociology master's program at Istanbul University, and the Urban Planning doctoral program at Yıldız Technical University. In her doctorate, she worked on “Child participation in decision-making processes: A methodological trial for local governments in Istanbul.”
In her civil society background, she led processes such as resource development, strategic planning, and monitoring and evaluation. She served as a mentor in the Birlikte II Program between 2022 and 2025.
She continues to research and write on child participation, child-focused monitoring and evaluation processes, and children's and urban rights.
She continues mentoring in the current term of the Birlikte Program.
