“We Take the Roads” to talk about a common future together with civil society

As part of our Civil Society Capacity Building Center project, which is supported by the European Union, we are embarking on a journey towards a stronger civil society.

How can civil society organizations contribute to the democratization of society? How can civil society intervene more effectively in processes that affect it? So how can civil society organizations, which are the voice of citizens and a fundamental actor in democracy, become more reliable, stronger and more democratic structures? We are working side by side with civil society to find answers to these and similar questions.

To talk about how we can strengthen our organizations to create a possible life, to create change for an equal, fair and free future where we are all included, where nature is protected, to think about how we can strengthen the role of civil society organizations in the regulations for the civic space and to think about common strategies that CSOs will adopt in Turkey. We will meet with more than 600 organizations in 30 cities to discuss the possibilities of developing norms and standards together.

What do we want?

  • We want a stronger civil society!
  • We want to change for the sake of change, and we want to be strong in the path we take!
  • We want to become more effective actors in issues that affect civil society!
  • We want civil society for democracy, democracy for civil society!

For these demands, we want to meet with organizations from all over Turkey and talk together about how we can create more participatory, transparent, equal, accountable and sustainable structures. We want to come together as civil society in Turkey and hear the voice of civil society in building a common future.

Where will we meet?

We will visit a total of 30 cities within the framework of these meetings, which we will organize as half-day meetings.

Our routes for the meetings are as follows:
