BİRLİKTE Support Program Call for Proposals

We continue to meet with CSOs in the second implementation period of the BİRLİKTE Support Program, which we have developed with our long experience and knowledge to strengthen civil society in Turkey.

You have until August 3, 2022 to submit your proposals for the new grant period of BİRLİKTE Support Program, which we have been implementing since 2017 to provide institutional grants and mentoring support for the institutional development of rights-based CSOs.

In the new period of the BİRLİKTE Support Program, we will provide institutional grants to CSOs to help them cover their basic expenses, as well as mentoring support for institutional development and gender equality mainstreaming. In addition to this support, we will also provide a space for meetings and exchanges and provide networking, communication and visibility support so that participating CSOs can learn from each other and develop collaborations.

We will implement BİRLİKTE Support Program, which is supported by the European Union as a sub-program under the grant project "TOGETHER for Rights-Based CSOs in Turkey". Detailed information about the program and the application process can be found in the application guide at the link below.

Who is the Target Group of the Program?

The program will support CSOs that seek to empower their target groups with a rights-based approach, expand civil society collaboration, and contribute to civic sector by building capacity.

How Will the Program be Implemented?

This support program is intended to implement three support mechanisms simultaneously for two years.

These are;

  • General operating grants to meet the basic needs of CSOs,
  • An institutional development program to help develop and strengthen CSOs, including gender equality mainstreaming.
  • An interaction/exchange network (BİRLİKTE Network) to facilitate and strengthen interaction and collaboration among CSOs and with other civil society actors.

What is the Budget and Implementation Period of the program?

The implementation period of the program is 2 years.

The total budget for the sub-grant program is 1,750,000.00 Euros including the expected amounts to be co-financed by the sub-grant beneficiaries. The total amount of annual general operating budget that a CSO may submit for the program includes the amount of expected co-financing by sub-grantees.

The total budget to be planned by a CSO under the program for two years, including co-financing, shall not exceed 70,000 euros and shall not be lower than 56,400 euros. The general operating budget to be submitted for the first year may not be less than 28,000 euros and not more than 35,000 euros.

Additional Questions About the Application Process

Those interested in applying to the program may submit their written questions to [email protected] until 22.07.2022 at 23:59. Answers to questions sent to this address by this date will be compiled each week and posted on our website on the second day of the following week.

The assistance to be provided during the application phase will be limited to the technical support required for the submission of applications in accordance with the terms and procedures of the program. To avoid possible conflicts of interest, it will not comment in any way on the content of the applications.
