Just transition is used as the name for building a new order by acknowledging the inequalities, patriarchy, and exploitation that cause and exacerbate the climate crisis. The concept also mandates the implementation of participatory processes and ensures environmental democracy for this transformation. It is emphasized that failing to meet this requirement would result in the reproduction of existing inequalities.
