Gender Discrimination in Textbooks

Gender in Textbooks prepared by the members of the Central Women's Commission affiliated to the Education-Sen Central Women's Secretariat, by examining the images in the Life Studies textbooks, to reveal what kind of role models the adult and child characters in the visuals in the Life Studies textbooks approved by the Ministry of National Education present. Discrimination Report has been published.

In the report, which was prepared by examining the visuals in the 2009 Life Science textbooks approved by the Ministry of National Education, Education and Training Institution and shared with the public at the press conference; striking results are presented, as the number of male adults is generally higher than the number of female adults, and that girls are more common with mothers and adult women, at school, at home, and in their surroundings.
