The Women's Labor and Employment Initiative (KEIG) Platform met with about 10 institutions in each province, including public and non-governmental organizations related to labor and employment, and investigated whether the "Circular on Increasing Women's Employment and Ensuring Equal Opportunity", published in 2010, was implemented.

Stating that women's organizations have drawn attention for years that it is important to look not only at the quantity but also at the quality of women's employment, KEIG said that the proposal of the government and employers to increase the rate of women's employment is considered together with the "contribution it will provide to the development of the country" and that the necessity of "not wasting the labor force". noted the emphasis.


In the report it prepared, KEİG documents the projects, in-service training programs, strategic plans and similar documents of the institutions and organizations specified in the circular; examined provincial labor market analyzes and vocational training materials, and whether there is a nursery in organized industrial zones and free zones. Then, 120 interviews were held with various public institutions, chambers, women's groups of trade unions, women's organizations and other prominent local employment-related institutions.

The first determination of the "Research on the Status of Women in Employment after the Circular", conducted in 12 provinces including Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Çanakkale, Denizli, Diyarbakır, İstanbul, İzmir, Kocaeli, Trabzon, Urfa, Van and aimed at determining the needs: unknown to many authorities. Giving special importance and priority to women's employment is generally based on the personal initiative of the authorities.
