It is stated that the basic needs of women staying in women's shelters are not met and that women's shelters are far from being short-term shelters where women can get out of relationships where they are exposed to violence, be empowered and receive the necessary support. Sharing the experience that specialization practices are vague and do not take women's needs into account, the report makes it clear that because shelters do not provide women with the support they need, women cannot escape the cycle of violence and are forced to stay in the shelter again and again.
