The Report “DE-RIN: Poverty as a Human Rights Issue, Monitoring Kurdish Women's Poverty in Van” report examines the economic and social difficulties of Kurdish women in depth. The study, prepared by the Star Women's Association, addresses the poverty of women in Van as a violation of human rights and reveals how this situation restricts their access to basic rights such as education, health and employment. The report defines women's poverty not as “lack of income” but as “lack of capability” and emphasizes the difficulties women face due to migration, discrimination and social exclusion. Suggestions for solutions include improving education, health and social security services and implementing policies that promote gender equality.
