United States of America
About the Organization
TPF is the first Turkish-American foundation to implement the community foundation model. The "imece (collective work)" method, which is one of the common traditions of Turkish culture, lies at the heart of this model, which enables many donors around the world to donate under the roof of a single foundation. TPF forms partnerships with organizations that meet some criteria determined by it, in order to establish communication between donors in America and civil society organizations in Turkey. Two criteria TPF takes into consideration are legal and financial competence and institutional efficiency (determined by American laws).
Gender equality, education, disaster relief, social and economic development.
TPF's grants are open to all non-profit, independent, non-political, and religious-affiliated civil society organizations in any region of Turkey. TPF funds in two different ways: grants provided upon donor recommendations and competitive grants. In order to determine eligibility for grants, application must be made by filling out a form on the website. Organizations whose eligibility has been confirmed are eligible to apply for grant support.
Grants provided upon donor recommendation: Most TPF grants are given through “named funds” upon the advice of donors. Applications for non-optional funds can only be accepted from CSOs that have passed the TPF's qualification test. Organizations can always submit their qualification applications to TPF. You can visit the website for more information.
Competitive grants: The projects carried out by non-profit organizations in priority areas determined by TPF are funded. It can expand or change these areas according to the current developments in Turkey. Announcements can be followed on the website.
