The Direct Aid Program (DAP) of the Australian Embassy is flexible, small grants aimed at addressing humanitarian challenges in a long-term and sustainable manner. With DAP funds, it supports participatory small-scale development projects and ensures its participation in the identification, design, and management of the projects benefiting from the support.

Priority Areas

Public health, education, women's empowerment, gender equality.

About Application

DAP funds are open to institutions and organizations engaged in non-profit development activities and CSOs. Priority is given to projects that have a lasting impact on women, children, refugees, and other disadvantaged communities. Activities that qualify for the project are generally implemented in very short time frames and not exceeding 18 months. 

Applications are made through the online application system. The application can be made in Turkish or English. 

They are submitted to the embassy's DAP committee for consideration. The DAP committee meets quarterly. The proposals are evaluated in terms of their compliance with the above-mentioned DAP goals and principles. The results of the applications are notified in writing. The fund amount is between 30,000 and 60,000 Australian dollars.
