According to the article, in most developed countries, the amount of e-waste is increasing dramatically, while the solutions offered lag behind, as "disposable" is part of the country's culture. Seventy-five percent of e-waste is unregistered, even in EU countries with stricter regulations. Of the 8.7 million tons of e-waste created each year, 6.6 million tons cannot be recycled.
