About Application

NED only supports CSOs. NED does not provide grants to individuals, the public and publicly funded institutions. The Board of Directors, which is responsible for evaluating the applications, considers factors such as the urgency of the project, its interest in specific needs and conditions in a particular country, its connection with democracy, and the experience of the applicant, as well as evaluating how suitable a project is with the priorities of NED. The dates to be evaluated by the Board of Directors and all information regarding the application are explained in detail on the website.

The application is made by sending the pre-letter form, application form, and budget on the website to [email protected] or by filling out the relevant forms on the website. Grant amounts vary depending on the size and scope of the projects.

Projects take an average of 12 months and support is around 50,000 USD on average.
